9. ATEX explosion protection system
ATEX is a European directive for explosion protection (“ATmosphères EXplosibles”)
In the event of an explosion
extinguishing powder containers are activated by gas generators. A specially designed
reusable flap valve ensures rapid opening. The extinguishing powder is immediately introduced into the resulting explosion cloud and effectively suppresses the flame
